Gitmo 3.0

Now here is a thought....President O wants to send all Gitmo prisoners to their homes.  He wants to give new homes to the so called refugees from Syria.  How about Gitmo?  Warm climate....free everything and if they leave they can join Castro or attempt to swim to Florida.

BOUNCE BOEHNER

What has happened to the "leadership" in Congress.  With the recent elections we were promised for our support some definite actions.  The only thing I have seen is reports of when you are on vacation.

Do you need a checklist from the American voters?  If so here is a start:
  • Repeal Obamacare
  • Stop federal funding of Planned Parenthood
  • Present a balanced budget
  • Major tax reform
  • Social Security Plan
So Mr. Boehner what have you done?

Americans Against.........

I received this recently..."The purpose of separation of church and state is to keep forever from these shores the ceaseless strife that has soaked the sole of Europe in blood for centuries."

This was attributed by the source to James Madison.  It came originally from a source called "Americans Against the Republican Party"

My "beef" was not with the message.  It was with the source.  So....Republicans are against church and state separation?

I find Americans Against the Republican Party a repulsive title.  Not because I am registered as a Republican but because it shows the uneducated and prejudicial thinking of the source.

Would they jump on me if I started an organization "Americans against Democrats"?  (I am not....I just don't agree with some of them).  How about "Americans against Liberals"?  (I am not.... I just don't agree with some of them).

I absolutely despise seeing such names applied to organizations.  In my opinion it shows ignorance and prejudice.

It's Clinton Not Just Hillary

Come on people!  Stop calling her Hillary.  We don't refer to Republican candidates as Jeb, Marco, or Ben.  We use their full name and former title.  By calling her Hillary we are humanizing her too much.  Call her Clinton, Hillary Clinton or Madame Secretary.

Here's an Idea

Here's and Idea.  We will soon have 15 announced candidates for the Republican presidential campaign.  Someone should convince a few (as many as possible) of the second tier candidates to switch parties and announce as Democrats.  Thus giving old lady Clinton a run for the money.

Please Help - I Only Need $2.5 Billion Dollars

Please consider digging deep in your wallets.  Cash in your 401K or any CDs you might have.  Close your savings and send all you money to please help Hillary.  She only needs $2.5 BILLION dollars to realize her ambitions.  You must realize that they were broke when they left the White House so please disregard any connections to the Clinton Foundations and its dealings.  They had nothing to do with Hillary and her political goals.

An Open Letter to GOP Leadership and Republicans..from a Republican

An Open Letter to GOP Leadership and Republicans..from a Republican

It is time for Republicans and their leadership to recognize the changing views of the electorate here in the United States.

It is time for a make over.  Not one that is orchestrated by the Party leadership but one that comes from the members and is recognized by the leadership.  Let's face it the party of Lincoln has morphed itself into a party of old white men.  The issues that the party continually hang their hats are becoming less and less important to the masses.

It is time to recognize that abortion is a women's right and not a legislative right.  While I personally do not support abortion I do not support government actions that legislate it.  Face it, women are becoming a slight majority of the electorate and if Republicans want their fair share of that vote they need to change their stated views.  Protection for women who seek abortion such as health care standards of the "clinics" and education regarding the process are important but the party of less government has no business dictating law and policy on the issue.

It is time to recognize that immigration and border security are two separate issues.  We need immigration and the issue can not be resolved by sending millions back to their "home".  We need people with H1B visas to fill the void in our technical industries.  Our own education system is failing.  We give scholarships to people to attend our universities and then after we have paid for that we kick them out of the country.  Does that make sense?

We also need non H1B immigrants.  Arguments that these people are taking away jobs from our labor force or forcing wages down are ludicrous.  I do want extensive background checks of immigrants seeking permanent legal status to insure we are not just granting people with criminal backgrounds or people who will only become a burden on our over extended welfare system legal status.

It is time that the party learns how to use the media.  Going on the late night shows is not bad.  It is smart.  Not all of the electorate is watching Fox News 24/7.  The party also needs to learn how to use the electronic media.  There is no doubt in my mind that television, radio and print bias exists.  A strategy needs to be developed to deal with it.  Not bash it.

It is time that we as a party stop attacking Obama and the Democrat Party.  The reason that Congress is held in such low esteem is the public is tired of the infighting.  We want to see some results.  Reaching across the isle is not like jumping on the third rail.  The public wants leadership.  Leadership at the top for the past 5 years has been absent.  However, any resemblance of real leadership from the minority and majority leaders in the party has been awol also.  How about a fresh approach?  Without saying they this and they that, the party and candidates state what they will do to work together to solve the problems we as a nation face.  Too sophomoric?  Maybe, but what we need are some fresh approaches.

It is time we recognize that the party affiliation that is growing more than others is Independent.  If the Republican Party can ever shake the dogma of the past 20 or more years we could have a better chance of appealing to those Independent thinkers.

It is time for the Republican Party to re-think its position of gun control.  The NRA is no doubt a powerful force but a reasoned approach to this issue must be presented.  Assault rifles, hollow point rounds, large capacity clips, etc were not around when the framers of the Constitution wrote that amendment. Also citizens back then had higher moral values and respect for life that does not exist today in the drug and crime cultures.  In no way should we abandon  the Second Amendment

It is time we find new leadership and candidates in the party.  Dragging out the same old same old will not cut it.

Ripped from the Headlines

Like one TV show states "Ripped from the Headlines" here is one ripped from the book "How to Turn Off Your Customers".

Frontier Airlines announced today that they will charge for carry on bags.  I know they weren't the first or probably won't be the last but customers need to start a revolt.  What's next?  I think they will start charging by the pound.  "Step on the scale Mam".  "Oops your 10 pounds over the limit, that will be an extra $50"

When fuel prices really started to escalate we could put some rationale behind the "surcharges" and rate increases.  Fuel (including jet fuel) has stabilized.  Airlines buy their fuel on the futures market and these rate rapes are getting old.  We need to let them know by boycotting airlines that continue to increase fares through the use of "extra" charges.

Pay Raise for Biden and Congress

Our supreme leader has proposed a pay raise for Biden and Congress and lots of federal employees.  Why not?  They have done such a good job over the last few years they deserve it.  Or NOT.  What they deserve is to be FIRED come next elections.

2013 New Laws

Take a look at all of the ReDickulous new laws passed in state legislators across the country.  If they can pass for example over 800 new laws just in California why can't the federal legislators pass a bill to keep us from going "over the cliff"?
